I have birdhouses in my garden. I wanted lightweight binoculars for close-up vision. Bought a pair of 8x40's. I was sold for the color of dirt. I am so impressed with 8x40. that I have a pair of 10x50 under the order. I have other 10x50. but if 10x50 works like 8x40. I'm sure they will become my favorite binoculars. (Please note if the binoculars are night vision they run on battery power) EnjoyPS I received my 10x50 today. You are better than I hoped.
