I had a bicycle horn that could be filled with an air pump and it was very loud, people in cars with closed windows always heard it and were amazed. I had to buy this because here in Palm Springs the homeless untied my bike while it was parked outside. So I settled on a detachable horn that had the same volume as the air horn I had. This one is not loud at all. This sounds like a clown horn. Nobody in the car will ever hear that horn. It also has the part needed to install the horn on the bike, but this part is not attached to the horn. This is a tiny rubber loop made specifically for the horn. Every time I take the horn off the bike, this little piece detaches and falls to the ground. I know that one day I'll lose it. The manufacturer could attach this tiny rubber loop to the holder. But instead it's designed to be lost, so you'll have to buy another horn from the manufacturer.
