Review on 🐱 Rachael Ray Nutrish Cat Food Blend by Heather Young

SAME INGREDIENTS AS MEOW MIX!

A month ago I would have given this place 5 stars. However, the price per portion is outrageous and to be honest I'm sick of buying it every time I turn my head! So I did a little research. I don't want to feed my kids cheap food. Love the fact that Rachel Ray uses real quality ingredients! And the taste is obviously top notch, as even my picky cat will eat it (although she likes the two types of seafood, the blue-packed gintastic and the red with a nautical flair). However, I have a lactating mother cat that needs 5 kittens and she is ALWAYS HUNGRY! She literally eats everything. I even buy her tuna and tanner chicken baby food as a snack to distract her because I'm telling you she wants about 5 or 6 cans of Rachel Ray food a day! When she was pregnant, the same! This is of course a special case, her appetite is overtaking. But even my very picky and very grumpy fat cat looks like me, is that all? Where are the others? Rachel Ray has another Ocean Lover 12 pack that is cheaper than the Chicken 12 pack, but the ingredients aren't as good and my cats don't care, except for the tuna pack. So when I started reading about all the ingredients in different foods I was shocked to see that this meow mix my mom feeds her cats (her cats are awesome! Healthy and big but not fat! Shiny, thick fur!) . main ingredients are the same as rachel ray's red packaging! Rachel Ray feels a little better after the meat and broth are listed, as she says carrot and tomato, and the Meow blend says natural and artificial flavors, but not enough for me to stick with. My girl wants to eat! I want to fill her dish and be satisfied! And the main ingredients, meat, are the same! The only difference is that vegetable oil is different from soybean oil. A lot of people seem to have an opinion on these pet feed oils, but both have been used for years! I think as long as they're not on a soy diet, a little soybean oil instead of vegetable oil is fine. My cats ate every bite of the Meow mix and loved it! That's half the price and you get more per container! I can't wait to go back to Walmart and buy a $5 pack of 12! I'm sorry Rachel Ray! I love you but you really need to lower the price or double the quantity! *** On a note. Guys please start learning what cats are supposed to eat! Did you know that even the cheapest wet food is better than any high quality dry food? Dry food is very unhealthy for cats for two reasons. #1 It has been cooked to the point where there is no moisture left in it and cats should have around 70% water in their food, this is extremely important. Protein #2 in kibble is very low in protein, even if the package says otherwise. The bag doesn't tell the truth about what cats eat! Go to catinfo.org and read everything!

Pros
  • Natural wet food for cats with added vitamins, minerals and taurine
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
