I bought this because my JBL gave up in less than a year (paid almost $100 for it). I decided to go cheaper, at least if something goes wrong and lasts a year - I justified my money. I hope that doesn't happen. The design is simple, basic and the speaker is the size of a PHAT wallet. It's pretty small. While I can't compare the sound quality to JBL, I'm very happy with the product and it delivers smooth enough sound unless you're playing really loud. Considering the really compact size and the sound it makes, this was a good buy and it would be nice to pack in a small space or even a small purse. I have small children's hands (9-10 years old) and it fits in my hand. I really like him and I believe that my soulmate will kidnap him soon. I will probably be buying more for my daughter soon.
