This could be a good hip pack if the water bottle holders could hold a big enough water bottle. It was difficult to fit a 24 ounce plastic water bottle in one of the very small and short water bottle holders. It took both hands to hold the bottle and try to pull the holder out. Pretty much all they're good for is a 500ml plastic disposable water bottle. The rest of the overall design was pleasant. The size was good, number of pockets and a reasonable size, but not being able to accommodate decently sized water bottles was a deal breaker. This may work as long as you don't want to go on day hikes that require a lot of water, but not otherwise.
