Essential device for more flexibility

I use it with my Lenovo Yoga C940. It has a limited number of available ports. This device solves the problem. The power supply uses one of the ports, but this lets power through. It's really nice to be able to connect an external monitor via HDMI, midi via USB devices, ethernet cables, flash drives, etc.
