I was looking for a more durable monitor arm as my trusty D7L just didn't fit my 49" X800E. Having recently decided to upgrade to the LG CX 48 OLED, I decided it was time to finally get a monitor arm that wouldn't sag under the weight of a large display. Ergotron HX is in fact one of the few solutions when you need more than 40 pounds of lifting capacity. And so I went with it es. The construction is solid as you'd expect from an Ergotron. The build is simple, the instructions simple and clear. Note that you can adjust the spring tension on the arm section with a VESA plate as I've found it after that it's quite difficult to adjust them.I also had to buy a VESA adapter for the CX 48 as the brackets that come with it only allow mounting up to 200x200 & support. In general, the mount is very impressive. It's very smooth and smooth in motion, and it didn't show any sign of sag (after adjusting the spring tension). The only downside, and a big one, is the price. If you don't need that much cargo capacity, the next best option (and the one I'd recommend) is the Locktek D7L (up to £33) for over $100 less.
