Bought this speaker for my husband for our anniversary as we love music. First speaker: Unfortunately, after unpacking and using it for the first time, half of the speaker worked. It sounded muffled and terrible at any volume. Any music, except for different genres, has not changed. Essentially, the speakers were blown up. I returned it to get this one. Second Narrator: It sounded better at first, but. After using the SECOND for about 5-7 hours, it started sounding like static and became muffled. We don't listen to loud music. It was only on volume 3 to 4 and it sounded like we 100% screwed it up. When switching to 5 or more, the muffled sound and crackling worsened. I am disappointed in this purchase and would happily return it for a better speaker at a better price. I thought it would be a good buy but I was wrong. The sound quality really made me regret my decision. One of our friends has a Bose portable waterproof speaker that sounded amazing at any volume. I might have to deal with that instead. I've only heard good things about Altec. I'm not impressed. I gave it a 3 because it sounded pretty good when it worked properly. The clip is a great idea - I didn't use one but it's meant to attach to anything, like a steering wheel! It also has a place where you can install NFC-enabled phones. We've used it with both Bluetooth and wired. Overall this is a good speaker but not for the price I paid for it. Save on the best speaker with the best quality. - Note: I did NOT submerge it in water. To be honest I was afraid he wouldn't survive as he was already struggling.
