Since I seem to be the first to review a product (I usually refrain from doing anything until it has enough mediocre or negative reviews to get an idea of important issues to be aware of). will give you more details about why I choose this charger.1. I needed a charger that could handle high power devices like my phone, wireless speakers, Li-ion battery charger, tail batteries, etc.2. I wanted to know how much current each device draws during a charge cycle and I learned a lot from it during my first test last night. Amenities versus price. I know you get what you pay for, but USB prices are very high and many of them have features I don't need/need. If he's solid, then this guy is for me. Last night I booted it up with all the hardware I needed to charge it (except for my wireless speaker which is in the process of being repaired) and it used about 50 watts on peak charging and worked great. What I discovered about some of my devices was unexpected. I was expecting my phone to charge at different currents, which would increase battery life, and I suspected a larger battery would do the same. However, almost all devices that I have charged have responded in this way. Only a few held the same amperage while charging, notably the lithium-ion charger. Last comment. I also charged my bluetooth headphones and there was never any sign of them charging on the charger itself. However, they loaded with no problems. I'm assuming they aren't drawing enough current for the charger to show status. No big deal, just good to know. Hope this helps and I'll update how it responds to a large payload and its longevity.
