At the moment I run almost exclusively in Brooks. I actually like a lot of other brands, but everything I've had from Brooks works as promised. Also their quality control was impeccable as my size always fits and they last a long time. So it seems like these days I just go back to Brooks when it's time for something new. Brooks Hyperion Tempo shoes are new to them. Designed to complement their Hyperion Elite carbon plate (an ultra-fast yet sensitive race shoe), the Tempo offers the same drop and weight without the carbon plate and extra cost. FYI: I don't have elite and never will. I'll admit curiosity, but let's just say my running talents don't call for $250 racing shoes right now. However, after reading a ton of reviews about it, I thought it was worth trying as I wanted something lightweight that could last a few miles. I love my Ghosts, but they aren't very light. Brooks uses a nitrogen-filled outsole here, which is somehow strong and supportive enough, but still very light. In comparison, the pace is over 30% lighter than my Ghosts and it really feels like running, especially at faster paces. I ran 8 miles this morning around 8:30am (which is fast for me) and felt great. I feel great now too. Enough padding and support. Although I've only done 15 miles, I've read a number of long-term reviews and the Tempos seem to show little to no wear at the 100-mile mark, so you have to be sure you can get real practice miles up them. do you buy them If you love running and want a reliable running shoe that's faster and lighter, I wholeheartedly recommend the Brooks Tempo. Here you simply get a rare combination of comfort and speed. If you need something very light and weight is not an issue for you, keep moving. That's not it. To me that is amazing. Bravo to the Brooks team responsible for this.
