This is my first time trying something like this. Only used once so far. I let it soak in my shower before applying the soap. Good texture. Has a soft, durable feel and is slightly prickly. Much better than plastic foam builder which I won't get back to. I didn't think it would lather well at first, but after using it it started producing after a minute. I'm sure as it's a natural product I have to be careful with it, especially dry ones, but it's a much better experience and it just feels good. Reviews suggest your mileage may vary, but so far this is a significant improvement for me. If it stays that way, I'll be glad I bought a sustainable American product from real Florida. If it doesn't, it's still the best experience if it's too expensive to replace regularly. Update: after a few months it started falling apart a little with every shower. It looks like the problem is in the edge that the blade went through. This side has large holes, meaning less material holding it together. This side is also less prickly. Not sure if it will fall apart because it dries out completely or gets wet too often.
