I was looking for a new mattress for my 2.5 year old daughter to replace her old one as I got it years ago. I spent hours looking at different mattresses on different websites and reading hundreds of reviews. This had the best overall rating and reviews so I decided to give it a try even though I was a bit skeptical about buying a mattress online. Arrived very quickly, 2 days after ordering! Since it is a foam mattress, the air in the box is compressed. Once opened, unwrap and let sit for the recommended 72 hours before placing in your crib. After 72 hours it still has a noticeable flex on one side but I hope it will flatten out after the mattress has been in use for a while. Also, the corners didn't seem to fully expand, but then again maybe they will after sleeping them a few times. There were no chemicals or odors in the mattress, which is what I was hoping for. It had a small stain, I'm not too worried and just disinfected the mattress before putting it in the cot. This mattress is definitely quite firm upon arrival, so it's great for a newborn. It fits very comfortably in my daughter's triangular cot. We are planning to put her in a crib in a few months and continue to use this mattress so I will update my review. Overall I am very impressed with this mattress given the price. The stain was a little disappointing, but the pros outweigh the cons.
