This is a great shower head, but its portable aspect didn't work well for me for 3 reasons.1. The shower head holder is round, so the direction of the water is determined by turning the hose. Sometimes the hose is oriented so the water goes where I want it to go, but if the hose deviates a little the water can be directed to the wall. The design could fix this if the shower head and handle were rectangular - then the water could be directed in the right direction.2. When you hold the shower head with your hand, there really isn't a good surface to hold on to.3. This isn't a function of the shower head, it's my situation - the shower head is too big for me to easily reach. Because of this, I refused to use it as a manual. If it weren't for the other two issues I could have continued but it's not worth it. If I were to do it again I would just buy a basic, highly rated shower head instead of that expensive handheld showerhead.
