Review on ACEVOG Women's Packable Rain Jacket: Waterproof Windbreaker for Lightweight Outdoor Protection by Will Bremer

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Folds down to a compact size, travel friendly but 'more waterproof' than 'waterproof'

This review is dedicated to the ACEVOG women's raincoat, a compact, lightweight, waterproof rain jacket. This is a cute light colored bubblegum pink raincoat. The material is water-resistant and thin enough to fold into the included 5" x 7" pouch. While it's not the kind of raincoat my family will use on a day-to-day basis, its compact folding size makes it a really good vacation/trip option for those "just in case" out in the rain. It's definitely better than a cheap disposable rain poncho. The material is very smooth and feels comfortable. The size is large, which is normal for a raincoat as you usually wear it over other clothes. It has a good roomy cut and doesn't cling to anything. It claims to be "waterproof" in terms of rain protection, but I'd rather call it "waterproof". Most "waterproof" raincoats have a layer that completely covers the zipper to prevent rainwater from getting in. It doesn't, allowing water to seep through the small zipper holes. The hood and waist belt can be closed with drawstrings to keep the rain out, the drawstrings are made of cotton. These cotton cords simply soak up and hold rainwater long after the outside of the coat is completely dry. While not the best raincoat I've seen, it's still a good raincoat and a good choice for travel just in case unexpected downpours hit.
