Ultra Bright Halogen Focus Light

I've been using these bulbs for a little over a week and so far can only comment on the design, finish, construction and light output. They replaced lightbulbs that were a few years old. 4 LED bulbs that recently burned out an LED chip. Older LED bulbs were bright enough but didn't focus at all like halogen bulbs. The product information for the Boslla units states that the LED lighting elements are positioned exactly where the halogen filament should be in the headlight housing, focusing the light the way the automaker intended. I believe so. The old lightbulbs seemed to glow better directly in front of the car than further down the road. Distant objects seemed faint compared to the glow emanating from the pavement 10-15 meters ahead. These Baslla bulbs do a good job illuminating a nearby street, but focus a lot of energy on the top of the light cutter where the projector shutter is located. This throws plenty of light further down the road where you need it. An interesting side effect of the double-sided emitter is that my headlight lenses look like cat's eyes with vertical slits. My only concern is that the fan and heatsink seem less able to cool the hot parts. My unofficial test has shown that the lamp base near the fan is around 200F after 2 minutes of operation at an ambient temperature of 85F. I use my headlights with the dust caps removed - I think they will fit, but I'm afraid of the early heat death of the bulbs covered there. I'll update if anything changes, but so far they're working great.
