Color stands out. The first night I rode them I immediately felt the difference. The light shows further down the road far away. They also cut through fog like butter. I live in the country and we are used to looking for deer while driving. These headlights illuminate the edges of the road on both sides with a lot of light. More than any other lightbulb. And that without high beam. High beam lights night time. I'm not sure, but Stevie Wonder probably would have seen the high beams! (Sorry Stevie, I really don't think it's a cure for blindness) I don't want to be an oncoming car with someone using those high beams!
