I've been using this night cream for almost two months now and can confirm that I've finally found my holy grail among facial care products. However, there are many things I want to share with you about the usage and the results so you can have a better idea of what to expect. This doesn't necessarily have to be a product for everyone, although I really like it so I'll be as honest as I can. Let's start from the beginning: I'm 27 years old, have very fair skin, usually have oily skin, don't use makeup, live in hot weather (SoCal) and have been prone to facial breakouts every two weeks or so. When I was 26 and first noticed that I was getting wrinkles under my eyes, I started using Olay Regenerist Night Repair Cream. Advanced Anti-Aging Night fragrance-free 50 ml every evening. It was good but I didn't notice any results even after a few months of use. Finally, considering how expensive Olay Regenerist is, I decided to look for other products and I came across this product. I'll admit I was skeptical at first, thinking it might be an inferior product that people buy just because of the cute packaging, but I loved Elizavecca's Milky Piggy's Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask, made by the same brand, so decided I am for it. Try this night cream. First Impression: I remember being impressed by the consistency of this substance. It's so thick it's like glue and when I tried to swallow the same amount of product as Olay Regenerist, it felt like too much. The next evening I cut back on my supplement and felt much better. Despite the thick consistency, the cream glides onto the skin quickly and feels hydrated, but it didn't feel as super silky smooth as the Olay Regenerist cream. The first few weeks: now, as I said, for my whole adult life. I was prone to regular acne on my face. Thanks to meticulous and consistent skin care, my skin was mostly clear ("mostly” is the keyword here) – but I still got one or two big, painful pimples on my face, mostly on my neck, about every two weeks. chin or forehead and sometimes on the cheeks. These pimples took a long time to fully show up and even when they went away they left dark red spots that were very visible on my skin so I almost always had some type of pimple or spot. After using this Milky Piggy cream every night for two weeks, I started to worry that it was making my acne problem worse: I had more acne than before because they were surfacing faster now, and some bumps that always were directly below. the skin is now covered with pimples. I frantically searched the web for reviews, found a very helpful introduction to this product from Oh My Stellar, and found that my skin was reacting to the retinol in this night cream. If you have never used a retinol product or don't know much about it (like my inexperienced, naïve soul) then you should do some research on how retinol works before you buy this product. Among other effects, retinol increases the skin's cell turnover, so when you first start using it, it can take your skin through a "cleansing" process. The pimples I had deep under my skin started popping up. For about two weeks it was really unsettling BUT HERE THE BEAUTIFUL PART BEGINS. A month later: After all the pimples appeared and then disappeared, IT NEVER COME BACK. I haven't had acne on my face since then, AT. EVERYONE. Which for me is absolutely incredible as I have struggled with recurring acne for years! That's even better! For a long time I had very slow fading spots from previous acne that sometimes stayed on my face for weeks or months and with this cream they were all gone within a week or two! It was really interesting for me! I've chosen to continue using the product every night, albeit at a reduced rate (I sometimes add some Aveeno moisturizer when I feel like I need extra hydration). Two months later: My skin is clearer. My complexion is brighter and more even. Wrinkles under the eyes have not completely disappeared, but they are less noticeable and have softened a little. I'm so so happy with this product and I'm really glad I waited for the cleansing process to get the wonderful results I'm having now! As a person who never wears makeup, a clear and glowing face is a huge plus for me, and people were even surprised that I didn't wear makeup and noticed that I had great skin. TL; DR: Sticky, thick. Consistency but dries smooth. Use sparingly and only at night. Educate yourself about retinol and prepare for a possible cleansing phase. Literally removes all of my acne and red spots. Reduces fine lines and gives me a brighter, more even complexion.
