Solved the problem - my new review

I didn't have the width to install the Ring properly plus part of the wall next to it was obstructing the view. This device helped secure it to the house better, bring the Ring forward and turned enough to fix the obstructed view.

The bracket may make it more difficult to switch between different Ring Doorbell modes
