Review on VOKOO Oculus Quest Link Cable 16ft - High-Speed Data Transfer & Fast Charging USB C Cable for Oculus Quest Headset and Gaming PC by Juan Huerta

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Inexpensive cable for VR games at a low price.

I really like this cable and it works very well. I have no experience with the original Oculus cable, which is precisely because it was $80 at the time of writing this. *80!* Ahh. That's a lot of money for a functionally chunky USB-C to USB-C cable that should have been included. But this cable works very well despite being just USB-C on one side and USB-A 3.0 on the other. Now I have to be specific. I'm using a USB 3.0 port that can provide enough power and data. Your results may vary depending on the performance of your PC and your connection type. Anything below 3.0 may not suffice or cause very stuttering gameplay. Therefore not all issues can be cable related, make sure your hardware supports what you are trying to do with it. Im impressed with the $36 cable, the little zip tie is very nice too, keep it, it will extend the life of your cable. I have to deduct 1 star because while the cable is solid and works really well, I think the data transfer could be better, but that's also because you might need USB-C to USB-C for VR. what other companies, and maybe this one, are doing for Quest. Edit: Everything said before is correct, but I think it's just because it's using the old USB connection that broke it. It's an unreliable design, so while it's a good cable when it works and frankly has very decent data transfer, it really needs to be appreciated, which isn't really what you expect from a VR cable when you can't see it because of, you know, virtual reality? Will I recommend it? Not like it used to be, just buy a USB-C to USB-C cable. If you don't have that connection, it works. Just make sure the cable is in front of your desktop if you're using one, and not in the back. The rear will flex it for sure as mine did and while mine technically still works it is extremely inconsistent and I just bought another instead of dealing with a barely working cable.
