Review on Secura Premium Touchless Soap Dispenser: Battery Operated, Adjustable Volume Control, Chrome Finish - 17 oz / 500ml by Lara Kaye

It's great when it works!

I liked this dispenser for the first 10 days. Then soap started dripping onto my counter! In the beginning it was perfect! Not too loud. I liked how I could adjust the amount of soap it dispensed. That was great! Then after using it for almost 2 weeks I found that soap was leaking under the dispenser. I guess I'll go back to the brand I replaced - at least it lasted over 5 years! ***Update #1*** A month later I called the manufacturer for a replacement and the new one works great! No more leaks! ***Update #2*** The replacement worked so well that 16 months later I decided to order another one (in antique copper). I moved the original (chrome) to another bathroom and it started having problems after 2 months. This time, instead of flowing, it doesn't always work! When I put my hand under the sensor, the light flashes but no soap is dispensed. Changing the battery doesn't help. The chrome block just stops working (so I have to pour soap over it) and after a few hours (or days) it works again. I should have sent it back for a replacement but I forgot it has a 2 year warranty and now it's passed the 2 year mark 5 months. I've only had the vintage copper for 13 months and haven't had any issues so far, but I'm not holding my breath. ***Update #3*** It's been a little less than 15 months since the vintage copper block had the same issues as the chrome block - it just stopped working (so I have to pour soap over it) and then a few Hours later (or days) it works again. So I'd say this thing works great for like 1.5 years and then it just sort of works. If you want something that will last a few years, DO NOT BUY IT!
