Works to keep child warmer

I bought this because my son is skinny and gets cold in our pool. It definitely helps so that he is willing to go into the pool at cooler temperatures than just in his swimsuit.My son is 7 years old, skinny and average to tall for his age. I bought a size 6 and it fits almost perfectly. A little long.I would be a little careful letting a child zip up the back by themselves. My son zipped his skin into the zipper one time.
