I'm 42 years old and I bought it because I had so much fun playing with my nephew. I also have two children (5 and 3) and they both love the game. You pretty much just play a "speed mode" that multiplies the speed at which you can make 10 moves because it doesn't induce as much fear as the other modes. They are basically free in how much they need to complete it. This is a great game with many answers. It's interesting to try different game modes to make a difference and also try to beat your records. A few words about volume. Many reviews say the volume doesn't work or is "gone", but you can easily turn off the volume by accident. If you scroll through the available game modes, one of the modes is "Volume" (obviously not really a game mode) and you can easily search for it and then mute the volume. When it turns off, the device turns off completely and "feels" broken since you can't tell what you're doing, what mode you're in, etc. This can be fixed as follows: middle button) - Turn it back on (Press the middle button once) - Wait for it to turn on (the lights are solid) - Rotate one of the sides until the 4 middle lights turn white (this is the volume mode ) - Slide either side to "activate" volume mode - Rotate side again to adjust volume - Enjoy! Unfortunately, after 2 years, the device does not register any matches in 100% of cases. We're matching the lights correctly and this device doesn't see the match. We have to move the pieces to the wrong positions and back, sometimes multiple times, to make it work. I suspect the contacts are worn out but to be honest we haven't played that much in 2 years. I was hoping it would last longer but we definitely made $18 out in 2 years.
