They arrived today and this is my first opinion. My 8 year old wears size 2 shoes. I bought size 3. He says they are comfortable. He seems to walk well in them because they're ribbed. The three buckles are adjustable and I was able to tighten them around his leg. They go almost to the knee and are made of one piece. I bought size 6. For women I wear 7.5-8. There is a lot of room in the sock but they fit snugly around the foot, stretches fully around the foot and is a bit tight. The top edge is not sewn at all. It's okay for my boy to tuck his pants in. I have two piece track pants that don't pan out. Maybe if I had high socks everything would be fine. I will probably keep the pair I bought for my boy and return mine. It was worth trying to buy children's boots for yourself, but it might not work.
