Wear black and julep (with a coordinating Columbia shirt for great style!). I wear them from the restaurant to the boat and to the beach in the same day. Even commands. Large zip pockets at back, flexible drawstring and belt loops. Too good. Update: Bought two more pairs of these shorts. XXL. The color selection is excellent. Choose lighter colors for everyday casual wear. Lots of compliments with a nice shirt. I've also bought some straps for when I'm carrying a lot of gear. The best shorts! Update April 2020: I have 10 pairs of these shorts and they are fantastic as my review above shows. I've just bought my latest pair in gray and they are a lot smaller and lower quality than the previous shorts I've bought and loved. Upon investigation, it turned out that this pair is made in Bangladesh. All other 10 were made in China. Even the lower quality logo. Very disappointing compared to how good the rest is in terms of quality and fit. I hope this isn't the beginning of the end of a great product.
