I use them for crocheted "mask strips " that I make and donate.

So far during the pandemic I have made 565 crocheted "surgical mask straps” and donated to family, friends, medical professionals and hardworking people in and around my community so yes I wish the buttons were cheaper. I buy both black and maroon. The ties keep the elastic away from the ears, making the mask much easier and more comfortable to wear. I'll probably buy these buttons (the quality is great!) because I think we'll be wearing masks for a long time!
