My review may be a little premature as I haven't run it in harsh conditions, but what I've tested and played with worked well. The solar or crank option for charging the battery is very good. The radio reception was excellent. Some stations are better than regular home radio. And that without the antenna extension. Two things I would improve if I could. First, you can expand the directions. There is no information (that I can see) to say you understand the gauges, especially the batteries. Does it light up when it needs to be charged or when fully charged when in use? I do not know. Second, it would be nice to have a watch. It's probably not a survival tool, but looks great to have camping in case of a power outage in your house, in a kayak, etc. Glad to have them in my "tool box".
