Review on Enhanced Performance: Virtue PF165 Paintball Pods with Press Flick Locking Lid by Tim Larsen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Working, may open if dropped or mishandled

Capsules are great, tube is very strong but unfortunately the same cannot be said of the top cap and closure. I use the Bunker King Pod strapless bag and it compresses these pods very tightly to the point where I have to slide them from top to bottom which wastes valuable time and defeats the advertised "time saving" purpose of the strapless bag. These pods are VERY wide for any pod pack. With time I hope it will get better. However, adjustable strapless backpacks like the Race 2.0 and HK Army Pods can't accommodate as well as traditional strap-on backpacks. Now let's get to the lid. The button on the pod is sensitive, which unfortunately is both a good and a bad thing. If you squeeze the pod too hard or try to pull it out of your pack too quickly by holding it close to the lid or button, it will pop open. It's frustrating when you spend $60 on a paint box AND try your best to pay $30 on capsules that just end up wasting your paint, leaving you short on gameplay. The lid part is semi-modular so parts can be swapped out if damaged, which is nice but makes these components more prone to breakage. Finally the good part. These capsules are very strong. I threw them, stepped on them while jogging and caught fire from behind, but they still didn't jump.TLDR; Fragile delicate lid, easy to open when you press a button, shoot or press the funnel. The pod case is the most durable on the market. Larger size for strapless subpacks with no velcro adjustment.
