Eight O'Clock Italian Roast has been my favorite coffee for years but it was starting to fade and it seemed like they screwed up the formula - it got noticeably weaker. So I tried other Italian roasts and after trial and error settled on Barista Prima. But damn. it gets so expensive. So after looking around again I decided to tie this and I have to say it's not bad. It's a bit more bitter than BP and doesn't have as much depth and richness, but is still suitable for everyday use like a dark roast coffee. It has just enough complexity and seriousness to keep me interested, and it's not subtle or even medicinal like some of the other options. If you prefer Italian roast without paying extra for BP, then this is a pretty good option.
