I was able to insert cartridges but the printer did not recognize them. It shows a question mark. However, I read other reviews that said the printer would still print. Installs all colors and black. The pressure was uneven. When I printed a test page and checked the print quality, some colors were missing. Print heads cleaned. Still uneven pressure. This is not the best choice for the J497DW printer. The printer prints perfectly with genuine Brother cartridges. I have another Brother printer that I use iKong ink with and it works great and is recognized. I just hate that there is no iKong version for this printer. I am very disappointed in these cartridges.
