I first used this for cutting drywall around the house. Generates a lot of dust. I will never cut drywall on the inside again. I cut the PVC pipe. It cuts cleanly with no burrs and doesn't shake other pipes like my other saw. It doesn't cut deep, so it won't cut straight, even if something is larger than 1/2" PVC. You'll have to wrap the cut somehow. This can be tricky depending on your location. Cut some metal and that was really what I think is good. Whatever I cut leaves a lot of dust and dirt. It's easy to work with and of course you can carry it around. I consider it my rotary tool. Not that I need it often, but it's for some applications ideal.
