Review on Gerber Paraframe I Knife: Tanto Point, Black - Medium [31-001731] - Enhanced Precision and Durability by Sean Powers

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Almost perfect for knives and tools

Very happy with the knife. At a media price of $13, it's worth every penny and more. I would happily pay double. Let's start with the basics. It's medium, it's about 7 inches. This one comes with a serrated edge and thumb studs. The small version doesn't have either. I came from Reset Point Paraframe 1 and as you can see in the third picture the locking mechanism has changed in Series 2. He uses a frame on the newer models that I don't like. This makes it difficult to close the blade. It's still one-handed, but I feel like it's only a matter of time before I catch my finger. On the other hand, the locking clip is the first to break on my Paraframe 1 as I love messing around with my knives. Overall maybe 0.5 inches or less than a paraframe drop point model. The steel itself is decent as I would expect from Gerber. Immediately ready for use, sharpened to shaving level with just a few strokes. Not a $200 knife but we didn't pay? Good weight and size, my new EDC. Exactly what I needed.
