feels good in the hand

first impression out of the box: feels good in the hand. I don't always like skeleton knives, but they are all nicely finished (rounded corners on the handle) for a solid, comfortable feel. Came out of the box sharp. I accidentally brushed the tip and it cut me a bit noticing that the clip (my mistake should have been more careful) is a bit tight but it will work in time.

Not a one finger opener

Too stiff my thumbs hurt trying to open it with one hand even after lubricating my knuckles it never becomes a one finger opener. Good quality, nice, light, palm-sized knife (which is what I wanted), with a very sharp tanto blade and serrated edges. If only it had an extended barrel/flipper to facilitate the advertised "one handed opening" I would rate it higher and could be my EDC but at this point I would like the Uzi Responder I or the S&W Extreme Ops Tanto try out.

Slim, versatile pocket knife

I found this knife to be great for everyday use. It holds an edge very well and you can barely feel it in your thin bezel pocket. Of course there are higher quality blades with more ergonomic handles, but if you're like me you'll hesitate to carry and use them for fear of damaging them. I'll use this for everything from digging an arrowhead out of a target to opening a bottle and lightly planing and it hasn't let me down yet. When that happens, I'll buy another one for less than $20 and life…

Sharp, good quality, nice painting. too much friction to open it with one hand. I say this as a person with very strong grip strength in various sports. But if you take a pry bar, you can break the locking mechanism, making it much easier to close. The screw had thread lock so it is extremely difficult to loosen without damaging the knife. If the screws were easier to remove so we could customize the knife to my needs I would give it 5 stars. a lot of resistance to opening it alone i would say…

Owned for over 6 years, still sharp and fully durable

Sorry guys I'm partly responsible for the price increase as I probably bought a dozen of these to give to my friends after I changed them for the first time 6 years ago and I still carry the original with me every day. What really helped me with this knife was that during my full time job at the grocery store I had overused the blades and for the same price point my Kershaw knives needed to be re-sharpened about once a week. Not this blade. 3-6 weeks of pounding aluminum cans and cutting…

Solid knife. Definitely recommend.

Can definitely recommend this knife. I bought it to take with me to work in the garden, around the house and on a hike. In my opinion this is a solid, well built and well thought out knife. With practice, you will learn how to open a knife with one hand. The knife is very sharp from the start and cuts through almost anything. I like the tanto blade. The frame lock works as it should and is easy to close with two hands. The handle is durable and provides a secure grip. The clip is tight which I…

Great pocket knife, easy to use, a bit harsh.

I really like this knife. I've never had a tanto blade, but now I'm a fan of it. I really like that this thin profile knife fits comfortably in my pocket. I take it to work every day. It's great quality and in my experience Gerber has always been reliable for me. But I will say that the open action is a bit harsh. And also a hand to close the knife. If I could change something, I would definitely make them more agile. But it ensures that you close and open reliably. You don't have to worry…

Almost perfect for knives and tools

Very happy with the knife. At a media price of $13, it's worth every penny and more. I would happily pay double. Let's start with the basics. It's medium, it's about 7 inches. This one comes with a serrated edge and thumb studs. The small version doesn't have either. I came from Reset Point Paraframe 1 and as you can see in the third picture the locking mechanism has changed in Series 2. He uses a frame on the newer models that I don't like. This makes it difficult to close the blade. It's…

Sharp factory edge and perfect size for everyday wear!

I've had this knife for about 2 months, I wear it every day. My thoughts, in order of importance: 1) The blade becomes razor sharp. I work in maintenance and construction hospitals. Just the other day, I cut off the corner of a thick, carpeted rubber mat in one smooth, clean motion. Thumbs up! 2) The knife is very well built, there is no play in the blade. 3) The lock locks firmly, giving you more confidence when cutting. 4) The size is spot on - I had a Paraframe mini. This is a good compact…
