Sorry guys I'm partly responsible for the price increase as I probably bought a dozen of these to give to my friends after I changed them for the first time 6 years ago and I still carry the original with me every day. What really helped me with this knife was that during my full time job at the grocery store I had overused the blades and for the same price point my Kershaw knives needed to be re-sharpened about once a week. Not this blade. 3-6 weeks of pounding aluminum cans and cutting cardboard and in one day it's STILL sharper than my Kershaw. Buy this knife once for yourself and get three spares for your friends. They will always remember you for the sharp and reliable blade you gave them. Great things to connect with!
