I've had problems with book lights for years. You are not bright enough. They don't stay in the book. You have to move them from the left side of the book to the right side to be able to see both sides. They are poorly made, break and the light no longer works. This book light has a strong clip that attaches to the center of the book fold and then flashes the lights on either side. The clip does not fall or move. You can clip it to the left side of the book near the center fold/binding and then flip each page over the clip until you reach the end of the book. No adjustments to each side! Variable light is great. There is nothing I don't like about this device! I was asked to rate the charge/battery life but didn't have enough time to say so.
