I've done a lot of research on scratching posts. It can be scary! We have 3 adults and 2 kittens. I wanted something big enough for them all to find a spot they like. Although experience has shown that no matter how many options are offered, they will probably all like the same place! This is "Cat's Joy". In many reviews I've read, tree owners have complained that playgrounds etc. are too small for adult cats. It doesn't make any sense to me. Because even if you have kittens, over time they will be fully grown. So what? Anyway, I wanted to avoid this problem. I wanted something suitable for adult cats. Something well made, well thought out and designed, strong and stable. With good seating and comfortable places to do what cats do best. Lean back! And places for what cats do come second. Crush fabric and furniture with your claws. I succeeded with this tree. Only the ramp is missing. But maybe it wasn't necessary. And I can add that later if needed. I was very satisfied with the equipment. Usually Chinese products have very cheap hardware. But there are good things in this set. The base is large and heavy, making it very stable. All components are well made and very well matched to each other. I was impressed! There are no wobbly, wobbly fixtures in this set. It's RELIABLE! Requires considerable assembly effort. It gets more complicated when cats are allowed to "help". Don't ask me how I know that! The guide is better than most. And at least enough. No complaints here. Pedestals, beds, aviaries and circular tanks are spacious and well made, durable and large enough for any adult cat. The hammock at the bottom of my kit is strung much higher than in the pictures and only 2 inches from the center peak. Too high to be useful and not even close to the low position shown in the pictures. Of course what happened there. But I'll just lengthen the rope hanger and that will take care of it. All in all very recommendable. satisfied. And it's not cost effective if you get something cheaper and have to buy it again. I'll be back with an update in a while if I find it necessary. But right now I can't be happier. This is exactly what I was hoping for.
