It stays moist and slimy, It acts like a gel. It takes time to dry like a gel. I prefer solid and thought it would be but when I put it on my shirt got wet and left a greasy stain on the shirt so you have to walk down the street with your hands up for about 5 minutes until it dries and then everything for a while still sticky. I won't buy it again and it's very difficult to return as the purchase is direct through Revain so you don't have to send it back to Revain you have to send it to the company. A big problem.
