Living in the South, my sweatpants were still wrapped when I ordered these drawstrings, so I just got what I thought would work. When I replaced the original, this cable was twice the size and flat instead of round. I had to fold this cord in half to thread it through the waist belt. The original cord always seemed to stretch when I wore the pants and I kept re-tying them. This stays in place. I was concerned that the ends would have to be knotted to keep them from unraveling as that would make some big knots under t-shirts or jersey tops. After several sweat washes with rough ends, everything is fine.
