Review on Diameter Stretch Jewelry Elastic Meters Beading & Jewelry Making by Nicole Mcleod

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best rubber band in the world!

There is no better cord for elastic bracelets! Lasts for years! That's all I've ever used after trying other brands and ending up with beads flying around! I have bracelets from fifteen years ago, some older, and they still hold their shape, but after fifteen years the cord can become brittle and break. If you notice this, simply re-tighten the bracelet before it breaks. These bracelets are easy to make. There are probably countless YouTube videos on how to make them. I just re-tightened a couple of bracelets that were attached to rubber bands or cheap disgusting cords that were falling apart. Sometimes I even put brand new bracelets on this cord because I can tell by the smell of the cord that it's junk. 1.5mm, 1mm and 0.8mm are the best and strongest. Any smaller and you can find a strong string of fabric beads with holes smaller than 0.8mm and use any type of clasps with it. I love REALLY STRONG rare earth magnet bracelet clasps. They are expensive, but it takes a lot of effort to dismantle them. The rest is garbage. Don't waste money. But for beads with standard 1mm holes, this elastic cord will not catch on. If you tie knots on it, pull on it as hard as you can without tearing it, about three times, and your knots won't come undone. If you don't think they will hold, put a drop of clear Gorilla Glue on the knot. It dries for a long time but is invisible and always looks great. This cable rarely disappoints.
