I ordered two of these Chromebooks for my 3rd and 4th graders this year. This is our first experience with Chrome OS. Having had a few weeks to learn and get comfortable with Chrome OS, I'm really impressed with these Chromebooks. This review is for the product, not the OS, as the Chromebook is more than capable of running the system. I don't think the hardware interferes with the software. They're lightweight and the battery lasts a lot longer than expected, but I think a lightweight Chrome OS-based operating system would work. The only downside is that it's not a touchscreen, which I knew when I bought it. I highly recommend getting a wireless mouse that will make things easier. I would still recommend this to any student or parent for school work.
