Finally the right color temperature!

Since turning my attention to LED bulbs about two years ago I have been trying to find the perfect combination of performance in one bulb - and finally found it in these! In the age of incandescent bulbs, you only need to know two things: wattage and soft white or daylight white light! It was pretty much everything. But LED lights don't really use those terms, even if they try to give you rough equivalents. As I gave us equivalents, I became more and more confused. Soft White turned out to be a really matte yellow, perfect for a room in our house. Daylight was super blue and harsh. And"bright" I was afraid to try! If daylight were this bright, how much brighter would the "brightness" be, I wondered! And having the wattage explicitly stated on the box instead of a more flashy lumen display also made it difficult to get exactly what I wanted. Anyway, a year or two later, I finally figured out that there is a color temperature, measured in Kelvins and Lumens, for brightness that I should focus on. So I knew I needed dimmable bulbs with a maximum brightness of around 1600 lumens. The problem was the color. I could find 3000K and 5000K bulbs in the store, but I couldn't find a 4000K. The 3000K lamps are very yellowish and look great in our hallway. But for other rooms they are too boring. I wanted something like our old halogen bulbs, which always struck me as very "clean" white. So I tried 5000K tubes and they were terrible! They made the rooms in our house look like a hospital basement! You were so hard. I wanted to try something between 3000-5000K but just couldn't find it in stores. So I finally turned to Revain. I found these 4000K lightbulbs and just plugged them in and they were absolutely perfect! Very clean and neutral white. And very bright. That's exactly what we need for most of the rooms in our house. Having finally figured it all out, I'm really amazed that 4000K lightbulbs are no longer available. They really seem to have the best interior lighting configuration in the home. I've read a few reviews here where people have complained that they don't last long. Can't talk about them yet, but if they don't last long I'll be sure to post an update.
