In the last 10 years I have used the following shaving creams: Alba shaving cream: I really liked the Alba shaving cream, especially the version with aloe mint was very good. I also tried the Burts and Bees shaving cream around the same time, which was good too, a little creamier. Then in 2017 I switched to Van Der Hagen Shaving Oil, which was also very good (I think Burts and Bees Shaving Cream and Van Der Hagen Shaving Oil are very similar). i really like it It's the same idea as the shaving creams above, but it's thicker. Due to its thickness, it puts more pressure on the skin, which reduces the impact of the blades. Other shaving creams are good, but if you apply hot water they spread too much. If you apply the cream to hot water, it will foam up and not diffuse as much. Slightly more controllable distribution of the cream in the water. I highly recommend it.
