Not what I wanted but still useful

I bought this for one purpose and I don't like it for that purpose: summer sleeper fan. My goal was to only use it at the lowest speed while sleeping so the battery lasts all night (camping with no power on). However, at the lowest speed it has a poor coil whistle that produces an annoying noise. I took two pictures of the sound it makes using my phone as a microphone so it's not a very accurate shot and I moved it very close to get a good example but it clearly shows that this motor has a particular sound produced. the lowest speed. It may exceed the DBa threshold to be called "quiet" but that coil whine is driving me nuts. If you don't mind the coil, you might not mind, but it's too annoying for me. The problem is that I can't put another battery in the fan, so the fan can be useless junk when the battery is low (the fan still only works on USB power and no battery, so at least that's good, though its portability is its greatest strength ) I love the clip and the fact that I can attach or attach it to anything to direct the air where I want it so it's still 3 stars for me: I have Found many places where I need a small fan. In the summer from drying out moisture/spills to protecting against overheating, a battery powered fan, no matter how loud, is still a great thing and I use it rather than letting it gather dust.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok
