I've always used a friend plugin and one of the classic ones but after trying my first Optimum filler I'd happily switch to this one if there was a simpler one here to find. In Canada. We don't have couch vandalism or anything, we just have wheel rub, and for that it works better than all 3 products. I wish they did it in a spray or smudge because the plugins are sooooo nasty! Not only does it irritate my sinuses, lungs, and eyes, but it creates a white foam in front of my eyes, which I assume is paraffin wax. It's amazing that so many people enjoy inhaling not only this base wax, but also the unregulated, unknown fragrance chemicals in fragrance plugs. How do they even survive? In any case, reducing the fights between my cats and reducing the squeaking out of the windows when they see a stray outside makes it worth using this product for my health. However, I will be checking the Feliway website often to switch to the spray once they make it available! Be alert for the first few days if you have a faulty spray that causes a fire! And unplug it when you're away so it doesn't burn down your house and cats when there's no fire extinguisher nearby. I've been using them for about a decade and none of them have melted, but I've read one star reviews - it definitely sounds like a small percentage of them are failing. This is a heat-generating device with a flammable substance, you must think about safety!
