Overview of 2/0 AWG and 4 AWG Copper Wire Lugs. Pros: Constructed from fairly thick copper tubing (.045" wall for 2/0 AWG wire and .035" for 4 AWG spade lug.) This means there is enough material to perform a hex crimp well in excess of mil specs AND NASA - to hold tensile tests. (Buy a hex crimp tool and stop using those punch pits.) Enclosed design. After crimping, simply wrap in heat shrink tubing with double-sided adhesive and the cable is protected from corrosion. Nice big pad for a good clamping surface. Bad: not really. I will buy again if necessary. Addendum: If you are used to working with tweco 2/0 AWG cable lugs, there is a big size difference between them and Selterm cable lugs. See photo. Tight at the top. Selterm below. However, both work well and this is just a warning and not a comparison of the quality of the product.
