Good for spawning, but juveniles (especially my small Celestial Pear Danio fry) can swim right through the vented side vents. The eggs are big enough to stay in, so collecting the eggs and separating the adults was a big help. Just not a good way to keep roasts separate. I had to cover it with the cut end of my tights which really restricted water flow. I ended up raising 2 aquarium sized juveniles, but they were 3 months old before they were big enough not to slip through the slots. UPDATE: The slits on the sides are also too big for Corydora's Palaatus spawn. These fry were actually much larger than my Celstial Pearl Danio brood, but still small enough to slip straight through the slots. I had to go back to tights for about 2 weeks before they got big enough.
