This thing really works. After using it over 40 times, here are some thoughts on "improving the design". 1.) The insert tends to freeze to the pot. Probably due to the fact that after washing, a little water remained on a large surface, and "snow” accumulated in the freezer. To get around this I put it upside down in the freezer and try to fit something (the handle of a spoon) between the jug and the insert. 2.) The top blue plastic might have a big handle to hold on to when it gets cold. on the bottom so you can use force to separate the two pieces. 3.) Why not shape the blue top like a (square) funnel (just lift the perimeter to make a 1" thick wall and make a small hole in the middle). When the thing freezes, it will after the automatically defrosted when pouring a drink in. 4.) I hope that the plastic will withstand the stress of continuous use well.
