I have been using these for at least ten years and they are very comfortable. Hammering tent stakes into the ground is one thing, and it can be done a number of ways (hammer, piece of wood, shoe), but I find these hammers work better. And if you've ever camped outside, you've probably found that pulling up tent pegs can sometimes be a daunting task. Thanks to the loop, this hammer works fast and you'll be glad you have it. I made the mistake of leaving one of them hanging outside for the winter, and the next spring the rubber head began to chip easily while I was driving the stakes. I would advise you to store it in a place where it will not be exposed to the elements (at least rain/snow).
