The nipple on the integrated handheld vacuum is perfect for containers and pulls the vacuum well. I'm not thrilled that the FoodSaver changed the design from an accessory port to a built-in device, but at least it works with these third-party containers as you can't find a FoodSaver container for a reasonable price. Addendum: still good. It would be nice if the caps held up better without a vacuum cleaner, but oh well. I ended up damaging one of mine when I accidentally placed it on the bottom rack of the dishwasher. Be careful, the plastic is not particularly heat-resistant and deforms in such a way that it can no longer seal.
