Review on Fixtures HWH Farmhouse 5HTJ7 F BK by Brittany Lawrence

Looks good but design flaws

The light looks the same as online. The mirrored glass gives it a vintage look, while the wire mesh is more agricultural/industrial, making for a pleasing combination. It's quite light but small in size, so it's best suited for a small space like a laundry room, small hallway or hallway. I installed it in a small home office and with the Edison bulbs it makes a lot of light. As a "home flipper," I've installed more overhead lights than I can count. This is the first mount I've seen that doesn't sit flush and tight to the ceiling, and it's just not possible to flush mount it without tightening it at the flex point of the backplate. The problem is that the back plate is so flimsy and flimsy that if someone tightens the two screw covers near the center of the light, that center piece will be pulled up towards the ceiling while the outer edge of the plate/bracket will hang down from the ceiling. and the weight of the glass lampshade and cage only increases sagging. The gap created by this deflection between the light fixture and the ceiling is small, so probably not as noticeable, but annoying nonetheless. This is an inexpensive device so you get what you pay for. I would not buy again.
