The item I received is not purple. It's a kind of desert rose pink. For me, this isn't a make or break deal, as the color is still nice. But I would have liked purple. (I am aware that I could return it. It is the principle of the thing.)However, the product itself is very nice! It's nice and little, but as far as I can tell, sturdily made. I'm flying for the first time this September to my study abroad in Northern Ireland, and am glad to have a little folder to keep my important and immediate paperwork together. The little plane icon on the upper left corner is especially cute.
